Alli: The Approved Over-the-Counter Diet Pill

Alli is gaining popularity as an over-the-counter weight reducing pill. FDA made a great contribution to the obese community with the approval of OTC sales for Alli, the reduced version of Orlistat (Xenical). It is a fat-blocking pill that will help fight obesity. This is actually the only time the FDA has allowed the diet pill become available over the counter. That is since it was previously sold with a necessary prescription. Along with the intake of Alli, a low calorie and reduced fat diet is necessary combined with religious exercise.

The obesity problem, especially in the US, has grown to an alarming number. It is in a way a threat because it can lead to heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Alli may be the solution to this problem, but there are people who must not take Alli. People, who have problems absorbing food, have thyroid disease, have diabetes, and those who are not overweight, must never take Alli. This will lead to serious consequences.

There are also side effects like greasy stools, relentless farts and diarrhea. To lessen this, you only need to lessen your fat and calorie intake.

Caroline Burner, a College student, told us how happy she is that there is now an OTC version of Xenical.  With Xenical, you still need to secure a prescription before you can buy one. There is also a limit of times you can only use your prescription to purchase the drug. Since Alli can be purchased over-the-counter, the medicine can be bought and taken indefinitely.
Aside from diet and exercise, you can also add vitamin supplements to your schedule. This is so that iron deficiencies won’t add to your worries while taking Alli.
