As Alli (Orlistat) continue to grow famous, many potential users ask questions; like how often this pill should be taken, how fast the effect is, how much will I lose with this drug and a lot more pertaining to the effects of Alli on their system. There are necessary requirements before you use this drug in order to lose weight. Factors like your age and some dietary requirements would indicate the type of dosage you can only consume.US-FDA approved the use of Alli for people over 18 years; and should either be obese or overweight. This would be determined by the Body Mass Index (BMI) of a person. There are no indications yet, if people younger than 18 years old can use this medication.

Alli is the reduced dosage form of Orlistat. It is recommended you only take 60 mg capsules of Alli, three times a day. Thus, this should be accompanied with meals containing limited fat content. Abuse of the specified dosage requirement is not appropriate and can be harmful.

A non-fat diet should not be used with Alli, because there will be no effect to the user. It should then be used with a dietary requirement of low-fat; or a reduced-fat diet of approximately 15 grams per meal. To determine the exact daily requirement of fat you can consume with your meals, you should seek advice from a doctor or a dietician.  He or she would be knowledgeable enough to advise which kind of food you may or may not take.

Alli is known to inhibit certain enzymes that control absorption of fatty acids into the body. Thus, Alli’s main purpose would be to reduce the fatty acid intake of your body.

According to the manufacturer the result is significant especially if it is taken with exercise and a healthy lifestyle. This mean, you also need a good diet to boost your system.

Alli claims that you can lose approximately 50% or more of your weight, if you support it with the right diet and exercise-rather than with just diet alone. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the recommended physical activities of people aged between 18 to 65 years old are:

a.) 30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity for about 5 days/week
Examples would be brisk walking, dancing, and carrying or moving loads less than 20 kg, among others.
b.) 20 minutes of vigorous-intensity activity for about 3 days/week
Examples would be running, fast cycling, aerobics, and swimming among others.
c.) An equivalent combination of either moderate or vigorous-intensity physical activity.
d.) 8-10 muscular strengthening exercises (8-12 repetitions) at least 2 days per week.
Installment exercise is as effective as continuous exercise. If you have work to do and you only have about 10 minutes break, you can do some walking exercises but see to it that you complete the actual minute requirement.

Physical activity for a person to burn 250 kilocalories would be 30 minutes of jogging, 50 minutes of bicycling and even 70 minutes of walking. The amount of weight reduced would depend on the type of exercise, duration and intensity that a person can carry out. The logic behind this would be the fact that the increase in exercise allows you to build more muscles and reduce your fats. This way, you are able to lose weight systematically.

Although the manufacturer claims that you would normally lose six pounds in a month with diet and exercise, results really vary from person to person. Once you take Alli with this healthy regimen, it will help you lose about eight or nine pounds a month. Remember that losing weight cannot be done overnight! The only normal weight loss for an individual is about 1 to 2 lbs per week to avoid certain health risks.

Physical activity with the right diet, plus Alli is an effective way to reduce significant amounts of fat stored in your body. Thus, you should also understand that it can be easy to lose weight but it is also proven very difficult to maintain the lost fats.

I’ve been on Alli since January 14 (Its now Jan. 30) and I’ve already lost five lbs. I started at 216 and I’m 211 now. I haven’t had to make any major lifestyle changes, I’ve just been a little more concious of what I’m eating. If you haven’t tried it yet, the only advice I have is stay away from really greasy food. A small fry is okay once in a while, but Alli will make sure you regret it. The side effects are scary, because you tend to “poop grease”, but it just shows that its working. lol

I have been taking your product for 2 weeks now and even though i have cut calories and fat and started a vigourous exercise program i have only lost 1 pound, which I do not think your product has anything to do with, I am very disappointed in the results from this highly acclaimed product that i spent my hard earned money on. I do feel that your product does not do what you claim.

I did Alli last year and successfully lost 50 pounds…and have kept it off….Just started it again this morning…..It does work, you have to eat right and healthy. If you want to splurge once in a while, just don’t take the pill before the meal….but remember there a plenty of low fat snacks
