Anyone take a vacation?

Did anyone take a vacation from work to start taking Alli? It would make the side effects less of a problem.

Another new idea! I would really hate to take a vacation day because of a diet. I'd rather spend it on the beach or to take a long weekend for fun. I can imagine needing to call in sick, though. That's another reason not to tell people. It might not count as a sick day if they knew the real reason at work.

I'd suggest taking a sick day or vaction day after a long weekend, but most employers are aware of that trick and disallow it.

You can take a vacation day after a long weekend, but there are going to be questions if you take a sick day. But then again, if you show up the next day and are still having minor problems and keep running to the restroom, they might not be suspicious.

Well, that's true. I think a sick day is justified, considering that the side effects are essentially an illness in and of themselves.

It would be nice not to need it. And that makes me think of something else. To the extent possible, I'm not going to schedule any important meetings for the first few days back at work.
