Taking less than the recommended amount?

What would happen if I took Alli less than 3 times a day? Would it work still, but just not as much? Would the side effects be lessened?

You would lose weight more slowly, and maybe have milder side effects, but maybe just for that meal.

Are you thinking you would eat more fats then?

I think it would be a waste of money and side effects. Why would you want to take less?

I think the makers of Alli tried to figure out the most effective dosage. Although, Alli is really just a low dosage form of Xenical. It might not work if you do not take the full dose of Alli, though.

I think you take it three times a day because we usually have three major meals a day. It works on the food you eat right after you take it, so you'd give up the advantages for that meal. I don't think it would affect your overall level of side effects.

If I'm going to suffer the side effects, I want the full benefit of taking alli.

I just read something interesting. You are supposed to skip alli if you don't have any fat in your meal. So actually, you aren't supposed to take it three times a day if you have a meal that doesn't contain any fat at all. I guess it isn't healthy to take something that is supposed to combine with fat in your stomach if there isn't any there.

Question

Well i thought that you werent supposed to take it if you have a no fat or extremely low fat meal, Would that be considered not taking the full dose?

My take on Alli and how it works..

If you are not eating fat then its a waste of money to bother taking it..

This is good for those who do eat fat, but nomore than 15 g per meal or then you get the poopies..

So is it beneficial to those who are not eating 15 g of fat per meal to begin with? From what i gather, NO. Am i wrong here?

They say not to take it if you arent having any fat at all.. So when you do eat the 15 g, it is pulling the fat through your body and out without absorbing it...

What about good fats like olive oil and fish oil? Is it pulling those right out too? That wouldn't be good.

So i guess if you take those as supplements, then take them when you are not taking the alli

Vanessa, if you are not having any side effects, thats good (i think) You and only you have to look at what you are eating.. Are you staying under the 15 g per meal? I think you only get those bad effects if you go over.. Not sure though. And i think it takes up to a week before it starts working full force too.. Not sure of that either but it seems i read that somewhere.
