Any good recipes?

Do you have any good recipes that would be good to make and eat while taking Alli? I guess any low fat recipe is noteworthy.

I make omelets with skim milk, lots of vegetables, oregano and basil as spices. I do them in a non-stick pan, and don't use any butter or oil. To make them faster, I've tried keeping some cut-up vegetables in the fridge, but it really doesn't seem to help. I have them maybe three times a week. I used to put cheese in them...

I have quite a varied diet. I would avoid processed foods, pies, quiches and processed meats but eat any lean fresh meat is fine (a portion would be about 4-6oz max). I buy 'healthy eating' meats with visible fat removed. Any fish and seafood is fine but take care with salmon and mackerel, they are surprisingly high in fat a small portion served with vegs will be fine. Use low fat diary products and even then limited the amount of cheese to say 1oz.

Even though the guidelines say to avoid anything where fat is more than 30% of calories there are some things that I still have that are much higher in fat but in small quantities. For example I still cook with small amounts of olive oil. Or will have a tablespoon of peanut butter on a slice of toast. I find that if I go too low on the fats I get constipated so I do think a certain level of fat is essential.

HTH

alli not working

hya tnx for your advice. im really disheartened now, after my initial fear of eating anything that would cause the stomach upset and eating a very low fat diet. iv realised that these pills are actually making me constipated and no matter what i eat (and have tested it now from cream, milk, pastry processed food) nothing happens!! feel like i have bought something from media hype and they are too weak to work. any comments for me
