Not working with no side effects? PLEASE help!
Well Ive only been taking Alli for about 4 days. But Today and yesterday I had fairly high fat meals, especially today with a thai chicken curry and a popadom as well which is deep fried. Yet I havent been to the loo even once all day, I'm baffled. Has anyone had no side effects at all and still noticed any weight loss? Im worried that if I feel no effect at all, it means Im not losing any excess fat and therefore how would the tablet work? If anyone can advise on this that would be great. Thanks a million!

The only "side effect" I had with Alli is the orange Pizza looking grease in my stool. You don't have any of that?

Hi, Ive had no orange grease, no effect at all, its too early to tell if this means its not working but Im not quite sure how to find out. I must be more like you Kitty, you say you had minor effects, are you still taking Alli and did you mean that those minor side effects stopped? Has Alli worked at all for you so far? Thanks! Jx

I take Xenical the prescription form of Alli and have done for 6 months. I've lost 42lbs in those 6 months, plus 23 the 3 months prior. The only effects I've experienced is increased gas (which I still sometimes get) and occasional looseness and frequency - I've never had orange grease, leakage, uncontrollable bowel movements etc. My doctor told me if I'm eating right these things will not happen and she was right.
I too felt like you at first that the medication was not working cause I couldn't see any effects. 8lb loss in the first 12 days was my evidence it worked.
I hope it works for you as it has for me.

Thanks Kitty, I did actually notice some oil today but only when I went to the loo, no other problems or horrid leaks! Sorry to be graphic but I think on this forum its par for the course! I think I spent the first couple of days eating very low fat meals so maybe there wasnt any excess! I got worried also when I didnt go to the loo for over 24 hours and thought 'please don't let me be the one person in a thousand who gets constipated on Alli!' But hopefully it may be OK now, I'll wait and see. Jx

i have had no side effects
Hi, it is my 5th day on alli. i also have had NO side effects on alli and am getting really sad and discouraged that it isnt working. i have "tested" it out by eating extremely fatty things these past few days too (like an entire jacks pizza with one meal AND an alli pill!!!!!!!!!) and NOTHING....no orange oil, no alli oops or anything. i thought that whenever id go to the bathroom id have orange oil (and a lot of it), ect when taking this pill - especially after eating the crap that ive eaten while on the pill. but actually ive been feeling really constipated instead (and that constipation has actually made me GAIN a pound!). im really scared that this pill isnt even affecting my system at all - so when i do go back to eating healthy (subway sandwich's, salads, ect.) it will do absolutely nothing at all for me. i am one of the few who actually WANTS to see all the fat go into the toilet, and all the nasty side effects - just once - just to know it is working.
are some people's systems just totally immune to this pill? i am not really "overweight" according to alli weight charts - i am 5'6 and weight 132. and i only wish to lose about 10 lbs. does alli not work if you arent technically overweight? can someone PLEASE advise??

I think it will likely work if you give it time. Drink tons of water...that might help. stay focused, don't go by the scale, go by how your clothes fit, and how you feel. you will succeed!
