Thumbs up

Hi,
I'm from the UK and I have been taking orlistat for 5 weeks now, i have lost a steady 12 pounds. I'm very pleased with the results so far, I need to lose another 21 pounds so hopefully they will do the trick.

Hi, I would try not to eat too much fatty food unless you want to get very acquainted to the toilet! Steer clear of fish and chips etc

I think you know yourself what is reasonably low in fat, I eat a lot of chicken and jacket spuds, stir frys, I don't cut out butter and all the rest of it, but i have cut down, I've lost 20lbs now, so it definitley is working for me.

And i still have my wine in the evening!! :-)

I think the best advice i can give you (if you have learned this by now) is don't trust your wind!! Orlistat gives people (me) very bad wind, it can have terrible consequences!!

And don't think that because you are on these tablets that you can eat what you like-they only get rid of 30% of the fat, not all of it-sensible eating has to go hand in hand with these tablets or they just won't work.

Good luck with them-do it right and they will work. x x x

I've been on Xenical for 13 months now and have lost 70lb in that time. I'd also lost 23lbs in the 3 month prior without the Xenical so I am 6st 9lbs (93lbs) less than what I was in May 2007. What to lose another 2 stone or so and I'll be at goal.

I take xenical (xenical is prescribed by doctor 120mg) been on it for 3 weeks and 3 days and lost 9LB . i have been on and off the xenical since 2002 but now im determined to stick to to it i dont really get much side effects as i stick to the low fat meals so dont get much side effects . you shouldnt be eating 'fish and chips' if your taking xenical so expect to **** out orange oil if your gonna eat food like that. it pisses me off when people eat a 'curry' and just pop a pill and think there still going to lose weight. xenical isnt a magic pill you have to work with the pill. if it was a 'magic' pill we would all be slim by now!
