Why do you want to lose weight?

I guess this is a lifestyle issue. Why do you want to lose weight? Is health the primary reason? Appearance? Do you have a spouse or significant other that wants you to lose weight? Are you too broke to buy new clothes for an ever fatter body?

I wish I could say that it is health, but it isn't. The main reason is that I do not want to feel ashamed and embarrassed by my appearance and size anymore. I do not need to look amazing on the beach or anything, but I feel embarrassed even when I am fully clothed.

I've noticed that I'm having trouble doing things. I can't bend over as easily, or fit in narrow spaces. I take stairs too slowly. Even though I walk a lot, I don't walk 'briskly'. I'm afraid it will become a real limiting factor in my life.

I just realized I never posted why I want to lose weight. I think it is a mix, a little vanity, but a big dose of health concerns. I have just realized I am not immortal, and that I don't want to spend the rest of my life being this fat and unhealthy.

I think it is all the reasons. I'm concerned about health, but I also would like to have a better appearance. Of course, I do not want to have heart problems or anything.

I looked that i am some problems because of extra pounds. So i want to loss weight so I can do any thing like running etc. and looks good too.

Well with me its a number of things my health, i think people are looking at me in town and laughing . i lost about 3 stone before i got pregnant but then put it all back on when i was pregnant and after the birth. but now im even heavier. im with a lovey man that loves me for who i am and my size but im not happy with myself. i want to shout out to people like OH MY GOD HAVE U NEVER SEEN A FAT BIRD BEFORE??????? i hate it when they stare. i tried ggetting a lapband but NHS refused me as i had some mentl health issues. and now i think enough is enough . i need to lose weight. been xenical for 3 weeks and 1 day and got weighed at my GP and have lost 9LB. i still got a long way to go but im determined to do it .
