Active job

I sit at a desk all day to do my job. I think it would be easier to stay in shape if my job included more physical activity. Are you active at your job?

No. I think most of us have pretty sedentary jobs. I've noticed that people who have jobs that keep them active don't seem to gain as much weight, and they don't gain it as fast. They always seem more fit, of course, even if they are heavy.

Sometimes you can add a little activity to your job. Take stairs, for instance.

I wonder if anyone will ever blame their employer for being overweight or obese. You know? For example, someone one day might sue their employer for the medical costs of being overweight or out of shape. What do you think about that?

It's an interesting idea, but I don't think it would work. Maybe if they made you work so many hours that you couldn't exercise.

In Japan they have something called karoshi, death by overwork. Widows have sued companies for working their husbands to death and won.
