Cost, and insurance

Did you consider cost when you decided to take xenical? My insurance will cover it, with a co-pay, of course. And I have a co-pay when I see my doctor. So I've been thinking it might have been cheaper to start out with alli. Has anybody figured out how that works?

I have taking Alli, and just bought it over the counter. I do not have health insurance, so I would have to pay full price for Xenical too.

Oh,that would be really expensive, because you would be paying the full fee to the doctor, too.

Oh, that's true. I would have to go to the doctor to get the prescription. I suppose I will just stick to Alli.

Maybe if you do really well with alli, then you might consider spending the extra money to get xenical.

I was surprised when I did some research to find that one of the considerations was cost effectiveness. In other words, was the drug cheap enough that it was a reasonable price to pay for the weight lost?
